This study intends to derive an impacted motorcycle-rider motion model. The model considers six degrees of freedom involved with the characteristics of front and rear frames of a motorcycle and rider behavior including lean angle, handling torque and handling velocity. 1n the state space representation, the model is solved by iterations in a discrete form. 1n order to present a case, the rider's driving parameters are calibrated by MADYMO result. Based on the model, the impacting limits are investigated in several situations. This model can act as a primary analysis tool for motorcycle accidents. |
