Huawei is a centerpiece in the escalating tech dispute between the U.S. and China. Many foreign governments and customers are concerned about Huawei's links to the Chinese government because of the security risks. Since 2018, The U.S. has started a tech war to force China to stop stealing American intellectual property and blocked acquisitions of U.S. tech companies by Chinese companies on the grounds of national security. The US-China tech war could impact the global economy, technology innovation and shift the balance of the global semiconductor supply chain. One that extends beyond short-term conflicts over tariffs to broader issues like censorship, intellectual-property theft, spying and technology leadership. This paper is trying to analyze strategies for Taiwan in the face of the US-China tech war. Taiwan should accelerate the pace of technological protection measures to prevent the outflow of Taiwanese technologies to China. |
