Solar Array Deployment Mechanism

太陽能板為衛星上主要的電力來源是衛星上重要的元件之一，而太陽能板展開機構主要功能在於提供衛星入軌前的太陽能板折收功能以及入軌後的展開功能。太陽能板展開機構的功能性將影響著衛星任務的成功與否。福衛八號的太陽能板展開機構由鉸鍊式機構所構成（單片太陽能板使用二組機構）並搭配固定釋放裝置構成系統，而目前主要設計皆已完成包含使用多體動力學軟體進行設計模型動態分析以及使用有限元素分析進行結構分析。

Solar Array is one of the most important elements of the satellite. It provides power for all of the components on board. Deploying the solar panels at the right orientation once the satellite reaches its orbit, and maintaining minimum space at stowed configuration during launch are mainly achieved by the Deployment Mechanism. A fully functional Deployment Mechanism is essential to a successful mission. The FS-8 Solar Array Deployment Mechanism consists of two hinges and two actuators for each panel. FS-8 satellite requires two panels. The actuators will be selected later on from various sources of currently available models. The preliminary design of the hinge has been completed. Structural analysis by finite-element model and dynamic analysis has verified that the current design meets all of the requirements.
