Navigation is one of the key technologies of the space industry. Using GPS receiver to provide satellite navigation information not only improves the autonomous ability of the satellites but decreases the cost of the satellite mission and flight operation. Domestic industry has established great capability in designing and manufacturing civil GPS receivers. However, such GPS receivers can not be used in satellite missions. Compared with the civil GPS receiver, the space-grade GPS receiver will experience challenges, such as extreme vibration and harsh operational environment as well as tracking signals with the high Doppler frequency shift. NSPO team has completed FS-8 GPSR Engineering Qualification Model (EQM), which is the miniaturization of Triton GPSR without performance degradation. Moreover, the current GPSR can also support future microsatellite missions by reducing its size, weight, and power consumption. |
