Taekwondo is categorized as a skill-oriented combat event in the athletics classification; the technical movements feature a variety of skill combinations and diversification. In order to meet the needs of complicate movement structures, diverse technical skills should be provided when training. Taekwondo training centers are the bases for promoting the development of Taekwondo sport; meanwhile, to regard either training professional athletes or promoting Taekwondo sport as business philosophy, different kinds of training equipment are essentials for running well-organized training centers. As everyone knows, a well-designed training framework is the prerequisite for educating or raising Taekwondo talents; hence, advanced equipment is indispensable for scientific training patterns. In improving specific ability training patterns, kicking or punching targets is one of the popular training methods among coaches. Coaches design and provide a variety of training situations in order to motivate students and to obtain better teaching results. In coaching programs, coaches need to instruct students in all the skills needed and arrange different training plans based on individual differences. By applying the methodologies of document analysis, questionnaire, and interview, this article mainly focuses on surveying frequently-used equipment in Taekwondo training centers and aims at promoting Taekwondo training in an extensive and advanced way. In the past, coaches used non-electronic training equipment as their main training method, but then there were lots of limitations on that. Luckily, here comes a new generation of electronic strike equipment. Trainings with the use of electronic equipment can be more productive and creative. Hence, it is worthwhile for the coaches to consider updating the training equipment for enhancing the competitiveness of the Taekwondo training centers.
