This study aims to explore the criterion of observation in modern psychiatric practice and its basis. The research methods include field observation and qualitative interviews. The data are analysed mainly through a phenomenological approach. Psychiatric medications are often used to keep patients in control during the their recovery. At the same time, they are socialized in the chronic ward. The present study suggest that clinical psychiatric teams observe and treat patients with a comprehensive plan, and in this sense the importance of the structure of time in the present psychiatric practice should merit more scholarly attention. The results of the study may help other researchers to rethink the strategies of treatment and to the possible benefits of understanding the relationship between the temporality in treatment and the discourse of function. |
