What will happen to immigrants’ religious belief? Will their religious belief become stronger, weaker or stay the same? Three perspectives may be employed to predict its change/stability, though the predictions are not always consistent. Using data of the Asian Muslim Studies on Immigrant Muslims in Taiwan, collected from 2012 to 2013 with a sample size of 367 males, we found that, among others, life situation variables have the most important impacts on the immigrants’ religious belief and the immigrants’ belief is heightened mainly among better-offs, but not among worse-offs. |
