Branchial cleft cyst is a benign congenital cyst that usually presents within the first two decades of life, manifesting as an enlarging mass due to infection. This congenital anomaly is relatively uncommon in adults. Branchial cleft cyst usually appears on lateral neck and the differential diagnoses include lymphangioma, teratoma, laryngocele and so on. Surgical intervention is the mainstay of treatment, and recurrence is rare. We present a 65-year-old man with a giant branchial cleft cyst receiving excision without complication. |
