Art activities are one of the most important links for each country’s cultural heritage. Since the establishment of school system in our country, art education has been one of the integral structures for the school system at all levels while elementary and econdary schools are important periods to cultivate national literacy. The study explored art education policies of elementary and junior high schools in Taiwan. Moreover important laws and policies were analyzed to understand its administration connotation and planning. Four characteristics in art education policies were proposed. First, the implementation of art education evolves following art education development trends. Second, the objectives and planning of art education policy become gradually clear. Third, the resource subsidies types of art education become increasingly diverse. Forth, art education related administrative operations increased supports. |
