文章中重複語句之考察

Exploring the Function of Le xical Re ite ration in Articles

本稿是調查文章中重複語句的基礎研究。具體而言，是從下列五觀點來考察：確認內容、功能、用語，分類機能，架構體系，調查使用情形，分析文章效果。結果得知如下：a. 重複前面內容一事有廣義及狹義兩種理解方式。此事亦影響其功能及用語。b. 以狹義方式理解時，重複語句之體系可分成兩大類及五小類。分別是由提起語句、增加語句、轉換語句所組成之「提出語句組別」，以及由繼續語句、恢復語句所構成之「承接語句組別」。c. 繼續語句使用次數最多，可保有話題一貫性；轉換語句使用數最少，可帶來話題變換性。d. 增加語句如聯想遊戲，既可提出新語句，對讀者的負擔亦不重，是極重要之機能。

This pilot study is to review issues concerning the function of lexical reiteration in articles through five perspectives: namely, to confirm its content, role, and glossary; to classify its function; to structure its system; to investigate its usage via survey; to analyse its expressive effects. Followings are the findings:a. Lexical reiteration can be well interpreted in both broad and narrow sense. The subtlety greatly influences its function and glossary.b. The function of lexical reiteration can be divided into five types in narrow terms: phrase raising, phrase expansion, phrase switching, phrase continuation, and phrase restoration. The first three makes up a 'phrase raising' genre while the other two forms a 'phrase continuation' genre.c. Phrase continuation is most frequently used so as to maintain t he cohesion of a topic. On the other hand, phrase switching remains the least despite its pertinence of begetting a topic change.d. Phrase expansion, such as association game, plays a vital role as offering a new phrase without spawning learners' anxiety.
