'Time'' and ''Space'' of ''The introducer of dead body''

「屍體介紹人」為昭和四年至五年間分四次發表的作品。與同時期的作品相比，「屍體介紹人」並非眾所矚目之作，川端本身提及此篇作品的言論也僅只兩篇。「屍體介紹人」是透過現在的朝木新八與「我」之對話，來說明新八與三名女性相識，以及成為屍體介紹人的過程。作品的時間也可分為新八與我說話的「現在」與三名女性存在的「過去」。除此之外，「屍體介紹人」的各章裡都有扮演重要角色的「空間」，且與在此空間中出現的女性形成對比。但這些特段卻尚未被充分探討。因此，本論文將以「屍體介紹人」的時間˙空間特徵為主題進行探討，藉以釐清存在於作品的「過去與現在」、「美與醜」、「生與死」等「二元對立」的關像。並可發現，川端嘗試以新方法來描繪生死的傾向。

”The inlroducer of dead body” is publi shed works whi ch di vided into four times in a period between four and fi ve years of Showa. Comparing10 the same period works, ”The introducer of dead body” is not taken toomuch attention from public. Kawabata himself also referred this workonly two times in other works. Thus, in Kawabata's works. ”Theintroducer of dead body” is rarely mentioned.”The introducer of dead body” is a story of the process of ”朝木新八” how to became an introducer of dead body with a conversationbetween ”朝木新八” living in this moment and 「Me」. Therefore in this work, it could be divided into ”Past” and ”Present”. And, in every chapterthere is slill an important rule about the ”Space” which show the contrastwith the women who appeared that space.However, these points have not yet been fully discussed. Therefore,this paper will focus on the ”Time” and ”Space” of ”The introducer ofdead body” for clarifying and distinguishing a relalionship of binaryopposition about “Past and Present” , ”Beauty and Ugliness” and ”Lifeand Death”. Thus, it could be found a tendency of Kawabata was try 10explore new approaches of an life and death issues.
