This study examined the location and co- occurrence of ”demo” ”dakara” in the conversation of Chinese native speakers, and compared to conversations of Japanese native speakers. The analysis of this study is based on KY corpus and Uemura corpus, and this study use chi-square test for independence and correspondence analysis to investigate the location and co-occurrence of Japanese ”demo””dakara”.The analysis, at first, indicated that all of Chinese native speakers and Japanese native speakers are inclined to use Japanese ”demo” ”dakara” in the middle part of the utterance. Secondly, it is classifies that the co-occurrence of Japanese ”demo” in the beginning/middle part of the utterance by novice and intermediate learners, and the co-occurrence of Japanese ”dakar” in the beginning part of the utterance by advanced learners, are different from Japanese native speakers. Finally, this study also points out superior learners' use of Japanese ”demo” ”dakara” is more similar to Japanese native speakers than others. |
