This paper studies the Polysemic Network of Polysemys and Derivations of the verb ”Kagiru”, mainly through its construction of core meaning. The construction of core meaning comes from definitions in four dictionaries; the author adopts a cognitive linguistic method to analyze and examine, and claims that its core meaning is ”spatial limitation.” Three conclusions are made in this paper: first, the polysemic network is as the following:Spatial limitationRange limitationConditional limitationOne-specific-point limitationBiggest limitation Biggest limitation of speakers' emotionsHighest limitationUnable to be limitedThe second conclusion is that through polysemic network of polysemys, it is possible to present the basic patterns of the verb ”Kagiru” At last, through polysemic network of derivations, and it is possible to present the grammaticalization of the verb ”Kagiru”. |
