It is clear that Tawada Youko's KENTOUSHI, published in October 2014, was written under the strong influence of the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, especially the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. However, critiques of KENTOUSHI seems to have avoided directly taking up the subject of this work. It is not just a matter of reading, but it must be related to a kind of climate that is absorbed in Japanese society after the Great East Japan Earthquake. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the subject of KENTOUSHI and to add an analysis on the relation between this work and the climate of Japanese society. |
