The Referendum Act, which was first introduced on 24 November 2018 after the amendment of the Referendum Act, was first adopted on 24 November 2018 with many issues, which prompted the Referendum Act to be amended. Most notably, the proposed addition of referendum to the draft referendum law, which excludes restrictions of fundamental human rights, has also given rise to a series of issues worthy of discussion: whether the inclusion of the referendum matter excluding restrictions or denial of fundamental human rights is itself a contentious issue, the nature of the referendum and the practical operational experience of the referendum, and what is the need and legitimacy to explore the constitutionality of the referendum proposal? Moreover, what is the reference to the existing proposals and judicial review of the Referendum Act? There is a need for further research. |
