Yuan Dynasty is relatively unique in Chinese history. Firstly, the Mongols' control of power did not last long in this period. Secondly, due to the development of trade and maritime transport, different cultures often interacted and helped produce more liberal and creative literary works. Wang Yun was famous in the literary field in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, as he wrote most of the imperial decrees. As an official in the early Yuan Dynasty, he has a significant impact on modern literature. This article analyzes Wang Yun's travelogues to gain a better understanding of the literary works in the Yuan Dynasty. |
