As the aging of the society has become a global trend, issues related to the elderly are receiving much attention. Among the changes in demographic factors for the elderly, extension of life is no longer the only focus of public attention. It is now a new global trend to help the elderly to get out of the family again, meet the needs of the society, develop self-sufficiency for themselves, face aging with optimism, and improve the quality of their lives. In order to understand the trend and the changes it has brought, this study explores the interrelationship of the social participation, social support and quality of life of the elderly. This study aims to understand the interrelationship by investigating the differences between different background variables and by implementing the method of convenience sampling, facilitated by both paper questionnaires and online questionnaires. After effective questionnaire were collected, data analysis and verification were carried out by T-test, single factor analysis, Scheffe's method, and Pearson correlation coefficient. According to the results of data analysis, the conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. age, marriage, health status and religious belief can cause significant differences to the social participation of the elderly| 2. marital status and living condition can cause significant differences to the social support of the elderly| 3. marital status, living condition, and health status can have significant differences in the social support of the elderly| 4. there is a significant positive correlation among the social participation, social support, and quality of life of the elderly. |
