福爾摩沙衛星五號影像正式營運

FORMOSAT-5 Images Formal Operation

歷經13個月早期軌道操作、衛星各項功能驗證，以及衛星影像輻射與幾何調校等階段，國家實驗研究院太空中心於9月21日正式開始營運銷售福爾摩沙衛星五號的遙測影像。除了品質保證，福衛五號影像在「創新」應用方面，太學中心提供多種取得影像的管道，藉此讓國人和政府部可便利取得衛星歷史影像|同時積極推動專案開發，藉福衛五號的自主優勢籌建言灣地區地形地物特徵資料庫，供國內產官學研界未來在AI應用上取得在地優勢。此外，也鼓勵民眾運用福衛五號影像發揮想像，開發文創應用，以全方位帶動台灣衛星遙測產業的發展。

After going through a few phases including early orbital Operations, verification of various satellite functions, and radiometric and geometric calibrations of satellite image for nearly 13 months, National Space Organization (NSPO). National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs) officially began to operate and sell the remote sensing images of FORMOSAT-S on September 21. In addition to quality assurance, the FORMOSAT-5 images are used in the ’’nnovation application. NSPO provides a variety of channels for obtaining images, so that the people and government departments can easily obtain satellite historical images. At the same time. NSPO actively promotes project development to build a database of topographic features in Taiwan by using the advantage of FORMOSAT-5 ownership, and to achieve local advantages in Al applications for the domestic industry, government, academic, and research circles in the future. In addition, people are encouraged to use the FORMOSAT-5 images to play their imaginations and develop cultural and creative applications to promote the development of Taiwan’s satellite remote sensing industry.
