Sounding Rocket Project

探空火箭計畫是以研製具備姿態控制與回收系統的多功能混合式探空火箭，執行各種不同型態軌跡的次軌道科學實驗為目標。除了精進探空火箭技術外，也要藉此培育我國新一代火箭工程、科學儀器與太空科學人才，同時將本計畫所產生火箭與科學酬戴的衍生技術推廣到產業界。探空火箭計畫於本年度完成以下成果：多功能火箭的任務定義以及初步設計審查確認火箭構型與系統規格、前瞻火箭完成3000kgf級火箭引擎之地面靜試、科學酬載的初步設計審查以及地面功能測試與組裝等工作。未來將進行火箭的自由飛試與科學任務飛行。

The sounding rocket project is to develop a comprehensive hybrid rocket system featuring with attitude control and recovery functions for various sub-orbital science experiments. One of main goals is to foster rocket, payload and science manpower. The other is to extend those technologies to industries. The sounding rocket project has completed the following milestones in this year, including Multi-function SR's mission definition and PDR to confirm the configuration and specifications, Advanced SR's 3000 kgf engine ground hot fire test, and Scientific payloads PDR, ground functional tests, and assemblies. The key issues of future will be rocket's free flights and mission launch.
