The Chinese (Reading and Writing) course is a four-credit compulsory general education course offered at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST). In the practical planning of the course, I divided the instructions on Chinese literature reading into four aspects, namely, ''starting from land,'' ''looking back from the edge,'' ''connection with life,'' and ''knowing how to tell a story.'' In particular, ''starting from land'' is a core concept of this course. By reading and writing literary works, students can establish a relationship between themselves and the land. With such skills as their foundation, students can conduct further self-exploration, gain a better understanding of society, and observe the world from the perspective of literature. In 2014, I founded a fan page called NPUST Image of Art to realize my goal of helping students bridge their curriculum knowledge and real life. This cloud-based approach to developing Chinese course instruction enhances related curricula offered by NPUST in terms of innovation, diversity, real-timeliness, and interaction. |
