The study aims to analyze the differences of new immigrant children's academic achievement concerning Mandarin Language, English Language, Mathematics, Nature, Science, Social Science, Physical Education, and Integrated Activities, based on the independent variables of grade, gender and their parent's nationality. The target subjects were students from 5th grade of primary school to high school in Chai-Yi County and 447 qualified samples were collected. The Cronbach α of the survey was .848 and MANOVA, ANOVA, and independent t test were used for analyses. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. The grade levels of new immigrant children at different educational stages on the subjects of Mathematics, Science, and Physical Education are significantly different. 2. The grade levels of new immigrant children from different ethnic groups on the subjects of Mandarin language, English language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science are significantly different. 3. The grade levels of new immigrant children with different gender on the subjects of Mandarin language, English language, and Integrated Activities are significantly different. |
