The methodology of comparative education 1s the key to the results of comparative education. Brian Holmes first puts forward the method of problem-solving in comparative education, which has a significant influence on comparative education. This paper main lyuses the method of literature analysis to explain the five processes of the method of problem-solving in Comparative Education proposed by Holmes (including: the identification and analysis of problems, the classification of educational data and in format ion, the establishment of ideal-typical normative models, the analysis and comparison of the ways in which policies are formulated, adopted and implemented, the prediction of the outcomes of adopted plan or of possible outcomes of proposed policies). Firs to fall, reinterpret and try to put forward the model framework of the problem-solving approach. Secondly, compare the comparative education approach put forward by Brian Holmes and Edmund King to discuss the connotation of integration and two sides and the differences between them. Finally, put forward the suggestions of Holmes' comparative education problem-solving approach in today's big data era, including: strengthen the feedback function of 'five processes' of problem-solving approach, and adopt the form of ' multiple classification' according to the particularity of data, instead of being limited to 'four models'; make good use of repeated experiments and predictions to seek the most suitable educational innovation policies. In this paper, we try to put forward a perfect point of view on Holmes' comparative education problem-solving method, hoping to arouse more researchers of comparative education to continue to improve this method. |
