When we say teaching Chinese language, we usually includes the ancient Chinese in addition to modern Chinese. Because the form and meaning of Chinese characters have not been changed much during the last 2000 years of history. And many expressions of ancient styled texts are currently used in modern time. Even though ancient Chinese is so important to modern Chinese education, it is neglected, not awared by Chinese educators. This phenomenon indicates that Chinese education is elementary or middle level in Korean universities. So, the purposes of study are: (1) to find out what contents are teaching as the title of ancient Chinese literature courses, (2) to discuss whatever these courses do their roles as the ancient Chinese education, and (3) to suggest alternative plan ancient Chinese courses in modern Chinese education. |
