The Ming and Qing Dynasties were the most prosperous period of the development of Chinese literature. At this stage, narrative genres developed a different features than before. The rise of the citizen class in the Ming dynasty, and the emphasis on emotions, the novels and operas were highly prosperous, and Bi-ji were written in various ways. From Ming to Qing, the complicated thoughts of literary intelligentsia and the city class made literature more oriented. Since then, the late Qing dynasty has declined. Facing the development of globalization, the change of old and new ideas and culture has become the driving force for the development of literature. Therefore, the narrative literature of Ming and Qing Dynasties has become a topic of active concern in academia in recent years. This article attempts to analyze the important issues and potentials in the development of Ming and Qing narrative literature in the academic circles in the recent ten years from 2009 to 2019. Contains: multiple textual themes; cross-domain research; multiple aspects of political power; attention to material life, and reading old themes from a new perspective. |
