The Rorschach technique, though now enjoying a varied status given by different students, was originally introduced to us by H. Rorschach with the intention to develop it as a psychodiagnostic tool (Rorschach, 1942). Such intention of Rorschach's has since been gradually realized and blossomed through enthusiastic efforts of many of his followers, among whom J. Beck, B. Klopfer, Z. Piotrowski, D. Rappaport, R. Schafer and E. Bohm may be cited. Beck's (1954) 'Six Schizophrenias', Piotrowski's (1945) 'An Experimental Rorschach Diagnostic Aid for Some Forms of Schizophrenia', Rappaport's (1945) 'Diagnostic Psychological Testing', 'Neurotic Signs' developed by Miale and Harrower-Erickson, (1940) and Oberholzer's (1931) or Piotrowski's (1937) 'Organic Syndrom are well known studies in support of the psychodiagnostic validity of the Rorschach test. |
