一、酸桔種子經熱中子或X射線處理後,均有阻礙或遲延發芽之作用,X射線較熱中子尤甚。又所用劑量愈高,則影響亦愈甚。二、誘導變異之適宜量,熱中子為180分鐘處理者,其適宜之範圍為90分鐘至240分鐘,X射線之適宜劑量為5,000r,其適宜範圍為3,000r至7,000r。三、利用X射線照射者其變異率可高達85%以上;利用熱中子者則變異率較低些。 |

This experiment was carried out in the Fruit Laboratory, Department of Horticulture, Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan, from 1964 to 1965. Two kinds of Irradiations and ten treatments were designed as follows: Thermal Neutron (3x10h/cm3/s):30Min., 60 Min., 90 Min., 180 Min., 240 Min. X-Ray (Roentgen): 3000r, 5000r, 7000r, 9000r, llOOOr. Each treatment with 00 seeds and the seeds were packed in a small polyethylene bags. Same materialshave been sent to the Institute of Nuclear Science, National Tsing Hua University ''and Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, N.Y. for treatment as designed. After the seeds have been treated and sent back, sowed in the pot which held with sterilized sand and placed in the room, irrigated with the distilled water for protecting against diseases and The preliminary results are summarized as follows: I.The Citrus sunki seeds treated with Thermal Neutron and X-Ray have proved that the dosages affect the seeds germination, the higher dosages could be decreased the germination, e冬peciallythose treated with the X-Ray. 2. The proper dosage for inducing mutation are 180 minutes with Thermal Neutron and 5,000r with X-Ray, and the rank of Thermal Neutron is 90-240 minutes, and X-Ray is 3,000-7,000r. 3. The mutations are induced with Thermal Neutron attaining a maximum percentage over 80% and X-Ray over 85%. |
