檬果花粉發芽之研究

Studies on Pollen Germination of Mangifera indica L.

一般檬果花粉在1%瓊脂，22%蔗糖之人工培養基即可發芽良好，Brewbaker與Kwack配方之培養基未能增加花粉發芽率。花粉發芽對溫度極為敏感，在培養基中（in vitro）花粉發芽率於15°C時幾乎為0， 20°C時發芽率仍低，25°C才能發芽良好。在花柱中（in vivo），25°C 時則花粉發芽良好，約經4小時花粉管之生長即可達胚囊。

Mango pollen germinated well in artificial medium containing 1% agar and 22% sucrose, but did not have any improvement on medium suggested by Brewbaker and Kwack. Temperatures severely affected pollen germination. Pollen germination was almost zero at 15°C, low at 20°C and high at temperatures above 25°C, in vivo studies showed that pollen tube could reach embryo sac about 4 hours at 25°C.
