This paper was the result of turfgrass diseases in golf course and yard lawn of Taiwan which was surveyed from July, 1985 to March 1986. BIack patch (Curvularia spp. and Bipolaris spp.), yellow patch (Rhizoctonia cerealis), Nigrospora blight (N. sphaeria and N. sacchari), Fusarium blight (F. equiseti and F. sporotrichoides), fairy rings and white leaf occurred on Cynodon dactylon at golf courses. While Fusarium blight (F. accuminatum) and rust (Puccinia zoysiae) occurred on Zoysia tenuijolia at yard lawns. Besides rust, white leaf and black patch, all diseases found in this survey were new records in Taiwan. Black patch was the most severe and widely distributed disease on turfgrass in Taiwan. |
