楊桃果實以單S型生長曲線方式生長,成熟果實後熟期間乙烯釋放量與呼吸率均增加,其增加時間與果實轉色吻合但早於果稜開始褐化期。各測試品種與品系成熟果實或在各生長發育階段果時採收後乙烯釋放量與呼吸率均上升。成熟果實經外加乙烯短暫、連續流通或間歇式處理後的反應均與一般更年性果實特性相似。外加乙烯促進果實內生乙烯提早產生。因此,楊桃似應屬於更年性果實。
英文摘要
The growth curve of carambola fruits as judged by cumulative weight was of the simple sigmoid type. Ethylene evolution and respiration rate increased during ripening of mature fruits. The time of the increase corresponded to the time of fruit yellowing and was prior to that of fruit rib yellowing. The increase of ethylene evolution and respiration rate were unexceptionally found during fruit ripening in 5 tested cultivars or selection lines. Postharvest rise in respiratory rates was noted at every stage of ontogeny. The response of mature fruits to continuous, transient or intermittent treatment of different concentration of exogenous ethylene showed the characteristics of climacteric fruits, i.e., earlier onset of climacteric rise with same climacteric pattern. Exogenous application of ethylene induced marked production of endogenous ethylene. Therefore, carambola is suggested as a climacteric fruit.
