Benomyl-resistant strains of green mold (Penicillium) were collected from-citrus orchard at Chia-yi area. These resistant strains were tested to screen fungicides on green mold rot control. Imazalil obtained very effective inhibition on spore germination and mycelium growth of green mold. This fungicide also did a good result on decay control in Liu-cheng oranges. It is showed that Imazalil would have widely usage for controlling decay of citrus fruits before or postharvest. Delan-C gave excellent inhibition of spore germination and also provided good control of green mold rot in Lin-cheng oranges. The fungicides of Benomyl, Meftect and Bavistin had less effect on spore germination and less value for rot control than Imazalil or Delan-e. |
