The nutritional status of citrus is deeply influenced by its rootstock. This experiment is a consecutive study under the same title. Citrus poonensis Hort. ex Tan. and Citrus sinensis L. (Osbeck) were respectively grafted on Citrus sunki, Citrus limonia and Poncirus trifoliata rootstocks to study the influence of upward translocation of some mineral nutrients including phosphorus, sulfur, calcium and rubidium on the one hand and the downward translocation of photoslocation on the other. The results revealed that the upward translocation of various mineral nutrients in the combination of Poncirus trifoliata with either Citrus poonensis or Citrus sinensis were significantly different in comparison with Citrus sunki and Citrus limonia rootstocks. While the downward translocation of photosynthates in various stock-scion combinations was not significantly different, The influences on upward or downward movement in different stock-scion combinations were discussed in this report. This experiment was achieved by radiotracer method. |
