The auxin transport inhibitors, DPX-1840 (3,3a-dihydro-2(p-methoxy-phenyl)-8H-pyrazolo (5,1a) isoindol-8-one) and chlorflurenol (2-chloro-9-hydroxyfluorene-9-carboxylic acid), at concentration of 1-10 mg/e, inhibit the growth of callus derived from the pith parenchyma of Nicotiana tobacum cv 萬國士. On the other hand, under the same concentrations, these auxin transport inhibitors promote 2-4 flods shoot formation in presenee of kinetin (3 mg/e). The possible role of these compounds on growth and redifferentisation of tobacco callus is dicussed. |
