Experiments were conducted to establish the quality indices of muskmelon for the judgment of harvest maturity in I-Lan area, Taiwan. At the moment of external color of muskmelon changed from white to yellow, the fruit with orange-red internal color, 2.5 kilogram weight, 10% soluble solids, soft but mushy texture, and not well-developed abscission layer, which was the right maturity to obtain the best quality of muskmelon. However, the quality only extended shorter than two days. |
