Correlation Study on Different Characters of Fruit Trees

果樹品種改良的持續進步，主要在於一代又一代的選拔優越基因型， 育種學家通常採用集團選種方法來進行果樹育種。每一選拔周期的遺傳獲得量與完成一個選拔周期所需的時間是由果樹本身遺傳特性、生理、形態與氣候等諸多因子共同影響的。本文的主要目的即討論這些影響果樹育種選拔因子間的相關性，供育種早期選拔之參考，以期提升選拔效率，降低育種成本。

A continuing progress of fruit cultivar improvement bases on generation after generation selection for superior genotypes. Mass selection is conducted by breeders to breed progenies cyclically. The amount of genetic gain per selection cycle and the time required to complete a selection cycle are affected by a number of factors which include inheritable characters of fruit tree, physiology, morphology and climate. The purpose of this review deals with the inheritable relationship among these affecting factors in order to increase selection efficiency and decrease breeding cost.
