Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is one of the popular leguminous vegetables produced in Taiwan, Due to the high temperature of summer, the planting seasons are limited in the spring and fall season. Breeding for heat tolerant progeny with high yield and good quality is promising. The objective of this study was to evaluate the heat adaptability within our germplasm collection of commmon bean by using the conductivity method. Results showed that the significant differennce in heat resistance existed among 154 lines of common bean.
