The paper explains the hybrid during 1962 to 1963, the procedme, and selection of the tea-breedmg program, which was specific for pouching the tea uses. The relationship between tea quality and yield to some shoot tip character, were also st11died. Results show, tlrnt intemodes lengths and leaf lengths had significant positive correlation to yield. Most of the shoot tip characters also had significant positive correlation to at least one tea quality except lea几air distributions and intemodes lengths. After a 15-yearselection, six superior lines were selected from 646-hybrid seedling, that were named No. 14, No.34, No.67, No.69, No.122, 己No.125. The yield of No.34 and No.68 were higher than the Taiwan Tea Experiment Station (TIES) No. 12, while spring tea harvest dates and shoot tip characters were intermediate beween TTES No. 12 and Chin-Shin Oolong for these 6 lines. |
