矮化劑種類和濃度對彩葉芋葉柄長度之影響

Effect of Growth Retardants on the Petiole Length of Caladium

為了控制彩葉芋的葉柄長度，以延長其在室內的觀賞期間、增進盆花的價值，本研究探討不同種類及濃度的矮化劑對葉柄長度之影響。在使用的Paclobutrazol、Uniconazol·Ancymidol·SADH及Chlornequat 5種矮化劑中電Paclobutrazol及Uniconazol對葉柄長度抑制較佳，其中矮化效果最顯著者為Paclobutrazol ,但矮化效果因品種之不同而有所差異。一般而言，Uniconazol的施用濃度在25ppm、Paclobutrazol的施用濃度在20ppm即有抑制效果，而對大多數品種而言、40ppm之Paclobutrazol有明顯的抑制效果；但相同濃度下Paclobutrazol的抑制效果因品種不同差異很大。另外，Paclobutrazol及Uniconazol的施用方式以土壤灌注效果較為便利。

In order to prolong the view period and increase the value of caladiurn plant as a pot plant under indoor surrounding ,it is necessary to control petiole length and prevent the succulent growth of caladiurn. Five kinds of growth retardants, Paclobutrazol·Uniconazol、 Ancymidol、SADH and Chlomequat were used to evaluate the efficacy of controling petiole length. Among these growth retardants, Paclobutrazolis most effective and followed by Uniconazol. The minimal inhibition concentration of retarding petiole length is 20ppm for Paclobutrazol and 25ppm for Uniconazol. Forty ppm of Paclobutrazol has an obvious effect. The efficacy of dwarfing of Paclobutrazol and Uniconazol are different in varieties, and at the same concentration of Paclobutrazol, the efficacy on retarding petiole length are very different among varieties. Paclobutrazol and Uniconazol treated by soil drenching are better than by bulb soaking.
