Some Efficient Ways for Green Asparagus Production in Taiwan

由生產綠蘆筍之觀點，本省之氣候及土壤條件較差，如以白蘆筍之栽培法實施留莖採收，則難免有若干之缺點，例如：嫩莖較細、顏色淡綠、風味較淡等現象。經年來之實地調查記載分析得知，在屏東地區利用乾季生產綠蘆筍，因氣溫適宜，灌溉方便，病蟲害亦少，不但產量高而且品質亦佳。

For the production of green asparagus in Taiwan, we know, we are still handicapped by the climatic conditions, the soil and improper operation of the mother stalk method. Therefore, our spears are usually too small in size, poor in color and of mild flavor. In view of this, I have made investigation at Li-kong in Ping-tong Hsien. In Li-kong, is a good area for planting green asparagus because of its dry climate, good soil with facilities of irrigation and also less disease. According to our experiment over there, we could produce spears of large size, good color and good flavor, with higher yield.
