The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of viewing sequence on the landscape evaluation. We concentrated on viewing order effect and viewing interval effect. Sixty-seven students were divided to four groups to evaluate four different viewing sequences. The results show that the viewing order and viewing interval both affect the scenic quality ratings. The results of the evaluating one slide every 300 meter on original order sequence is similar to the evaluating one slide every 600 meter on original order sequence. While, the results of the evaluating one slide every 1200 meter on original order sequence is comparable to the evaluating one slide every 300 meter on random order sequence. |
