元結撰、顏真卿書〈大唐中興頌〉碑主旨新探

〈大唐中興頌〉碑是元結撰文、顏真卿書丹的摩崖石刻。內容涉及有關唐玄宗、唐肅宗的評價。由於詞旨晦澀，元結是否利用春秋筆法貶斥唐肅宗，從宋代以來，一直是爭論不休的話題。而顏真卿左行書寫的特點，更增加了解決這一問題的難度。事實上，〈大唐中興頌〉在內容上是有頌無諷的頌體，在材質上是用於頌揚的石刻，均無貶斥意味，而顏真卿左行書寫的特點，在唐朝石刻中也並不罕見，不能作為顏真卿貶斥唐肅宗的依據。
