Traumatic injury and fat embolism were considered as common co-morbidities and parts of patients should exist and develop to Fat Embolism Syndrome (FES). As previous studies, the attributed mortality was shown as 1.2% to 15%. Whether the body's fat embolism will be discharged through the urinary system exist uncertainty. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the association between clinical urine samples and chyluria test in fracture patients. Our results demonstrated that the positive rate of chyluria was approximately 33.8% in 68 fracture patients and 54.5% for humerus fracture. In addition, the second chyluria test within 72 hours showed an ascending difference of positive rate as 27%. |
