行政院農業委員會於104年公告紅色甜椒新品種‘興亞五號’,主要適合臺灣甜椒商業栽培。‘興亞五號’由亞蔬-世界蔬菜中心(World Vegetable Center)及國立中興大學共同育成。本品種從西元2010年由41個雜交組合中,經觀察試驗和耐熱試驗,先選出14個優良品系,再經品系比較試驗,選出C142及C215兩品系,並於西元2013年在善化、新港及虎尾進行區域產量試驗,最後以C215品系申請通過命名。‘興亞五號’雜交一代甜椒抗番茄嵌紋病毒(tomato mosaic virus, ToMV)及耐疫病病原型1(Phytophthora capsici pathotype 1, PC1);為方形果(8 x 8.7 cm)、中果(平均果重約200g),綠熟果與紅熟果皆可採收,秋季定植後約92-107天為採收適期;植株莖粗,葉大,耐高溫高濕,適合於設施及露天周年栽培。
Sweet pepper production in Taiwan is highly specialized and remunerative. Producers grow hybrid cultivars in both screenhouse and open field. In 2015, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan released a red sweet pepper hybrid 'Hsing AVRDC No. 5' for commercial cultivation in Taiwan, which was bred by World Vegetable Center and National Chung Hsing University (NCHU). In 2010, total 41 crosses were evaluated by observing and heat-tolerance experiment and selected from 14 potential crosses to evaluated comparison trial. Lines C142 and C215 were selected by comparison trial and regional yield trial was evaluated in Shanhua, Singun and Huwei since 2013. Final, Line C215 was approved a new hybrid cultivar. 'Hsing AVRDC No. 5' hybrid cultivar, with resistance to Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) and tolerance to Phytophthora capsici pathotype 1(PC1), The blocky (8 × 8.7 cm), medium (200 g) fruit can be harvested while still green or red, but the sweet flavor is especially potent at maturity-about 92-107 days after planting in the fall season. The vigorous plants with strong stems and large green leaves are well adapted to high temperature and humidity, and can be grown year-round under both protected and open field conditions. |
