The Central Weather Bureau has installed strong motion accelerometers on 59 structures, including buildings and bridges, in Taiwan area since 1993. The purposes of this project include automatic data collection and diagnosis of the structure that had been installed strong motion accelerometers. All of these efforts will direct toward collecting high quality strong motion records of structures and making the system operate smoothly and reliably. This project presents three different system identification methods for detection of building dynamic characteristics.(l) System realization using information matrix, SRIM.(2) Parametric time-frequency identification method.(3) Discrete wavelet decomposition of impulse response function. Seismic response data of a RC building(data from TSMIP program) was used to demonstrate the applicability of these methods. |
