Living in the era of knowledge-based economy, we require much knowledge for whatever we are engaging in. NCREE, a Taiwan leader of research on earthquake engineering, have the responsibility of distributing to people the knowledge of earthquake engineering they concern about. This project is to achieve this goal. This project will use the technology of both internet and knowledge management to facilitate the distribution and promotion of NCREE's studies and experimental results. In 2004, this project cooperated with a CPAMI(Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of Interior)'s project to construct system that manages construction industrial knowledge. Both projects drafted the standard for interoperating knowledge. In addition, both projects examine the knowledge taxonomy; construct this taxonomy's detail; plan and construct the website for applications of the earthquake-engineering knowledge maps. This project, on the other hand, strives for digitalizing all the NCREE's study results. As for developing the platform integrating the knowledge of earthquake engineering, this project has initial achievement. |
