英文摘要	A full-scale 2-story single-bay buckling restrained braced(BRB) steel frame specimen is being constructed for testing in the structural laboratory of National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering(NCREE) to investigate the BRBF structural system subjected to the bi-directional earthquake loads in March of 2005. The frame is to be tested using substructure pseudo-dynamic testing procedures. ABAQUS finite element analyses were performed in order to examine the effectiveness of various stiffening schemes for the gusset plate. Finally, the stiffen schemes of gussets are selected based on the results of finite element analyses.
