福爾摩沙衛星五號

FORMOSAT-5

福爾摩沙衛星五號（簡稱福衛五號），是台灣第一顆自主發展之光學遙測衛星。其任務目標包含建立衛星本體自主發展能力及傳承設計，掌握核心元件設計與製造能量；建立光學遙測酬載儀器自主發展能力及傳承設計，發展關鍵元件與技術；落實衛星遙測技術與應用，延續服務福衛二號國內外遙測影像使用者族群；推廣太空科學任務，支援學術研究等。 FORMOSAT-5(FS5) is the fi rst space program that National Space Organization(NSPO) takes full responsibility for the complete satellite systems engineering development including payloads. FS5’s success would signifi cantly help NSPO in pursuing future space programs. FS5 mission goals include building up Taiwan’s self-reliant space technology on optical Remote Sensing Instrument(RSI) and spacecraft; developing key components of the remote sensing satellite through integrating domestic technical capabilities; serving FORMOSAT-2(FS2) global user community; promoting space science research.
