In Korean, there are many ways to indicate speaker or the subject's will. For example, pre-terminative suffix--겠; sentence terminative suffix--ㄹ 것이다, ㄹ게, ㄹ래; and clause connective suffix--려고 하다, 고 싶다. These belongs to a part of modality, which not only closely related to grammar and semantic, but also involved with pragmatic complex situations. However, there is not much comparisons and explanations of these usage in Korean textbooks. If the teachers cannot explain it clearly, it is difficult for the learners to understand it correctly. Moreover, with the complicated comparison of Chinese will expression, “Xiang Yao, Xiang, Yao, Hui, Lai,” results in frequent confusion and misuse during translating or communicating for the learners. This paper is to test on the surveys done by students. It is performed under the pattern of TTT (Task 1 -> Teach -> Task 2). T1 can form out the similarities and difference of the sentence misuse, and analyze the possible reasons. It could be predicted from the misuse status that the learner might has some misunderstandings or had forgotten what he had learned; or that his teacher only explained the contents in the textbooks without giving examples with situations or pragmatic explanations; or that the teacher could not point out the misuse made by the learner effectively, etc. Basing on these possible reasons, this paper has a supplement as follow. It distinguished the sentences from grammar, pragmatic, and usage effectively. From the analyzation result, It has been found out that sophomores have been obviously improved than higher grade students. It proved that if grammar explanations could be applied at the primary stage, learning efficiency could also be increased. |
