本論文以拉崗「鏡像階段」為論述框架,劃瓦歷斯.諾幹個人身分自覺、族群認同歷程為縱軸,泛原住民族政治運動、正名行動為橫軸,交叉析論外來政權以話語論述、強大武力將臺灣原住民排除至社會邊緣,繼之以「皇民運動」、「國語教育」等同化政策予以收編國有的殖民歷程,解構文化霸權以鏡像作用扭曲臺灣原住民為歷史「他者」的「話語形構」。最後指出「生態女性主義」強調母性與自然依存關係,意圖打破男性、階級宰制的主旨,實與瓦歷斯解構二元、抑斥大漢沙文霸權文本意旨相互匯通,以為研究者謂其「固化」原住民女性角色做辯證。
