The Global Economic Situation and Prospects for Agricultural Economy

自從產業革命以來，生產力的提升一直是經濟發展的主導因素。生產力是建立在科技發展的基礎上，因此科學發達的歐美國家，挾其科技優勢，形成國際政治與經濟強權，一向對世界造成支配力量，而在國家利益與自我國家決策的立足點上，政治與經濟強權往往對落後國家進行經濟剝削，造成國際社會的不公平與不穩定，導致人類社會的長期動盪與不安。 Trade liberalization and regional economic organization have placed international economic society both in keen competition among countries and internal cooperation within the region. As globalization going on, each country has to develop its own industries on the principle of comparative advantage and searching for technical progress in order to increase the international competitiveness. Agriculture is the basic industry which supported the population of a nation. The current issue is how to adjust agricultural policy in order to adapt to the increasing pressure for trade liberalization and competition. This paper discusses what policies might be best for future concerning to maintain farmers' benefits and to promote agricultural development. Also, we have discussed the Cross-Strait interaction in agricultural sector lies in WTO regulation of strategy analysis concerning the dynamies of cooperation and competition between the two sides.
