Learning Powered by Technology” focuses on learners and emphasizes that technology provides support for them. Education APP is a combination of technology and learning, the development and application of which will inevitably be improved with the growth of technology. The application of emerging technologies represented by Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, three-dimensional calculation and artificial intelligence in education APP, was analyzed in this paper from the perspective of Technology-enabled Learning. The application prospect of such five emerging technologies was expounded in depth, in order to predict the development trend of education APP from the perspective of technological change. The result shows that: (1) Internet of Things based on radio frequency identification will promote the automatic perception of learning situation information of education APP, and provide users with intelligent learning support services according to the dynamic changes of learning situation; (2)Cloud computing will promote the development of education APP to open source, micro cloud and synergy functions, and provide users with on-demand self-learning-services; (3)Big data can enhance the dynamic feedback and forecasting function of education APP on users’ learning behaviors and provide accurate services for users’ personalized learning; (4)Based on virtual/augmented reality, threedimensional calculation can build three-dimensional learning scenes for education APP users, enhancing user’s sense of learning presence and immersive learning experience; (5)Artificial intelligence will enhance the perception of learners’ emotions and “natural” interaction experience of education APP. It may enable education APP to have “smart tutor” and “quasi-human consciousness” functions, and promote their development towards intelligent education APP. |
